Professor Rachel Bearon has been appointed because the Government Dean of the College of Pure, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) at King’s from 1 January 2024.
A Professor of Mathematical Biology, Rachel is at the moment Head of the Division of Mathematical Sciences on the College of Liverpool. She can also be a Fellow of the Institute of Arithmetic and its functions (IMA), the place she has been on its council (2017-23), and an Government Committee member for the set-up section of the brand new Nationwide Academy for Mathematical Sciences, the place she is main the communication and advocacy workstream forward of the Academy’s launch in 2025.
